New ideas for our blog SEP 2009
We're shortly going to be introducing a few new ideas for our blog page to help you discover the world of flowers and hopefully help you choose your wedding bouquet and wedding flowers. We'll be describing a different flower each week telling you it's common name, botanical name, colours available and it's best uses in floristry design. We'll also help you out by describing each style of wedding bouquet and the dresses that each one is suited to best. Of course, it's all personal preference at the end of the day, but hopefully, we'll be able to give you a few ideas if nothing else!
What are Fresh Touch Flowers? SEP 2009
As you probably realise, there is a great difference in the standard of quality available in artificial flowers. At the lowest end of the spectrum you can find very cheaply priced artificial flowers often in shops selling cheap stuff. At the other end of the scale, the customer is also able to purchase very high quality, often botanically correct, fake flowers. In America, these high-end, superior graded flowers are sometimes referred to as permanent botanicals. This phrase is not used much here by the masses, but it may become more common here as we become more accustomed to the top-end artificial flower market. Fresh Touch flowers are aptly named because their rightful place is among the superior quality artificial flowers. Not only do these faux flowers look realistic, but they often fool people because their touch can also be extremely life-like. Gone are the days when one can tell at a mere glance whether the flowers are real or not. Even on inspection and touching, people are still not 100% sure!

The latest fashion for interior design is the feature wall. One wall of a room is decorated in a bold, striking pattern that complements or contrasts the colour of the other walls in the same room. A huge range of feature wallpaper is available from DIY stores and come in a variety of styles. Many, however, use large floral designs to create impact and a touch of feminity to a room. Why not continue the floral theme further into the room with one of our floral arrangements that could be used as a decorative accessory within the room.
